AQUEOUS BLEACHING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING PEROXY CARBOXYLIC ACIDS

Stability of compositions comprising relatively low levels (0.5-15 wt.%) of peroxycarboxylic acids, particularly PAP, can be improved by formulation such that one or more complexing agents for vanadium, manganese and colbalt are present. A mixture of 1-hydroxy ethylidene (1,1, diphosphonic acid) and diethylene triamine pentacetic acid has been found to be particularly effective.
