Discontinuous level setter with longitudinal and transverse resistances

Each parallel resistance element consists of a series arrangement of an input and an output longitudinal resistance (R10-R17 & R00-R07) and a transverse resistance (R50-R57) connected by its own switch (S0-S7) to a zero potential point (NP). The longitudinal resistances (R10-R17 and R00-R07) and the transverse resistance (R50-R57) of each resistance element have a common connection point (VP0-VP7).
