Plant for prodn. of coated strip, esp. for floor coverings, includes a coating station (20) for applying a UV reactive material, esp. a UV cross-linkable varnish to one side of a precoated, printed strip and an irradiation station (30) with tubular UV emitters (33) at right angles to strip (10) width. Emitters (33) are above and at a distance from the coated side of the strip (10). Uniform light distribution is ensured by a reflector above the UV emitters (33) which are arranged as a gp. across the entire width of the strip. Emitter (33) axes are parallel and at a distance from each other.
