[Object] To provide an engine valve drive control device having a simple structure intended to improve the activity of the valve. [Constitution] In an engine valve drive control device in which a cam lobe 31 removably engaged with a cam shaft 9 of a valve actuating line of an engine rotated, when engaged, together with the cam shaft 9 to drive a valve 3 and in which the rotation, as set free when disengaged, of the cam rob 31 is halted by cam rotation halting means 34 to leave the valve 3 inactive, the cam lobe 31 is made axially slidable in the axial direction with respect to the cam shaft 9, and the engagement/disengagement of the cam lobe 31 with/from the cam shaft 9 are switched according to the sliding motion of the cam lobe 31.
