PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a small globe and brighten the direction right under a strut by supporting a translucent spherical globe on a dish- form support body in which a plurality of holes are perforated and disposing a light source downward from the center. CONSTITUTION:A translucent spherical globe 16 which opens downward is supported on the upper surface of a dish-form support body 13, and a light source is disposed in the inner part thereof, and they are installed on the top of a strut 11. In this outdoor luminaire, a number of holes 13 are perforated in a dish-form support body 12. Further, the center of the light source is positioned downward from the center of the spherical globe 16. Thereby, even when an angle (theta) connecting the center of the light source to the support body becomes large, light is leaked through the holes 13 and a difference in intensity between the direction right under the laminaire and the periphery is reduced. Also, a distance between the upper part of the light source and the spherical globe 16 is kept, so that a globe made of a synthetic resin or the like may be prevented from being deteriorated by a high temperature even when the spherical globe is made small. |
