PURPOSE:To provide an inspection method of a part, which is replenished with a different type of part of a different maker having the same function at the time of a shortage of the part, by dispensing with an operation, in most cases, to register a new part in a unit and preventing the operating efficiency of the electronic part packaging unit from deteriorating. CONSTITUTION:A part inspection method comprises a step #1 in which, when the shortage of a part occurs in an electronic parts packaging unit, the part is replenished, a step #4 which detects the dimensions by photographing the shape of the replenished part with a part recognition camera, a step #5 which compares data on the dimensions with the dimensions of the part prior to replenishment to determine whether a dimensional difference lies within a tolerance, and a step #7 which permits production to be continued if the result of determination falls within the tolerance and suspends production if the result of determination does not fall within the tolerance. |
