PURPOSE:To obtain a copy in which an undesired image is outputted from the side of an original even in the case of a tilted original or an original whose shape is other than a rectangle by providing a significance of erasure to an area signal at the outside of an original area. CONSTITUTION:Preliminary scanning is applied to an image sensor 4 prior to main scanning recording an original image onto recording paper. An electric signal read by the preliminary scanning is binarized by an image reader 5 and image data of a platen cover 3 and an original 2 are inputted to one area o an area memory 9 of an edit processing means 8. A closed area being the frame of an original and a closed area recorded in the original are extracted from the image data of the original. The memory 9 is divided in this way. Different edit processing is provided to the divided areas and an area signal generating section 10 outputs a signal to an image processing unit 6. Erasure information is provided as an area signal at the outside of the original to make image data at the outside of the original zero. |
