SPACE OPTICAL TRANSMITTER AND SPACE OPTICAL TRANSMISSION METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide a space optical transmitter and a space optical transmission method in which the S/N is improved, high speed transmission is realized, the size is made small and the power consumption is reduced. CONSTITUTION:The space optical transmitter includes a transmitter 106 and a signal demodulator 117. A housing 119 having an opening 118 to limit an incident light is provided in the signal demodulator 117 and a detector 110 is arranged to a position in the housing 119 opposite to the opening 118. Thus, the detector 110 detects only a signal light within a prescribed range including a direction just opposite to the opening 118. The output of a low pass filter circuit 115 is given to a processing circuit 114. The processing circuit 114 uses a control circuit 113 to drive the housing 119 around two shafts set perpendicularly to each other and the space opposite to the signal detector 110 is scanned so that the output signal strength from the low pass filter circuit 115 is a prescribed strength.
