<p>PURPOSE:To improve and stabilize the quality of the treated waste water having a high content of BOD by using this compact waste water treating device with the volumes of the tanks reduced. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an anaerobic fermentation device 6 and a device for aerobically treating the water treated in the device 6. The aerobic treating device is furnished with a catalytic oxidation tank 1 and a contact aeration tank 3. In the tank 1, the water to be treated is passed upward through the tank to the fixed packing, and the water is aerated directly and entirely from the lower part to aerobically treat the water under a high load. In the tank 3, the water is aerated at a position where the fixed contact material locally set in the tank is not directly aerated so that the surface area load on the packing is controlled to <=15g/m<2>.d and aerobically treated under the low BOD volume load of <=0.5kg/m<3>.d.</p> |
