PURPOSE:To perform single impression processing by dissolving an image of a grain pattern by the tones of the pattern and finding representative colors of the respective images. CONSTITUTION:Image data on the grain pattern are processed by Fourier transformation orthogonal to the grain direction and divided into three spatial frequency bands of a low, an intermediate, and a high range, which are processed by inverse Fourier transformation. Consequently, the grain pattern of a raw material can be dissolved into three patterns which are a full-tone pattern, a skeleton pattern, and a conduit pattern. The representative colors of those three patterns are found and the single-impression processing for representing the pixels of the respective patterns with the density of the representative colors is performed. Consequently, three impressions which are a full-tone impression A, a skeleton impression B, and a conducting vessel impression C are obtained. The image of the raw material is dissolved by the tones of the pattern and the characteristic impressions of the respective patterns are obtained, so color slurring is inconspicuous even if an impression shift is caused during printing.
|
