PURPOSE:To improve charge-discharge cycle life characteristic by using a lithium-titanium oxide as active material in a negative electrode, and using Li2MnO3 as active material in a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:Manganese dioxide and lithium hydroxide are mixed in a mole ratio of 1:2, and subjected to a prescribed thermal treatment, whereby Li2MnO3 is provided. The active material powder of Li2MnO3, carbon black as conductive agent, and a fluorine resin dispersion as binder are mixed in a weight ratio of 8.8:6:6 to form a positive electrode mix. This is pressurized and molded into a pellet, and then dried under dry atmosphere to form a positive electrode 4. Anatase titanium dioxide and lithium hydroxide are mixed together in an atom ratio of 5:4 followed by baking to provide Li4.3Ti5/3O4 powder. Carbon black as conductive agent and the binder are mixed thereto in a prescribed weight ratio to form a negative electrode mix, which is pressurized and molded into a pellet, and dried to form a negative electrode 5. Metal Li is cladded to a negative electrode case 2, and an electrolyte is injected thereto, whereby the Li is reacted and stored. |
