<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate misoperation and accurately specify the operation range through easy operation by providing a lock mechanism which holds a state wherein range specifying operation is in process until a key is pressed again after the key is pressed at the start point of a desired range. CONSTITUTION:A cursor is moved first to the start point position of the range to be specified on a display screen by rotating a thumb ball 2. Then, a range specification key 5 is pressed at the target start point position to specify the start point. In this case, since the key 5 for range specification has the lock mechanism, the key 5 for range specification is locked once the start point is specified and the state wherein the range specification is being done is held. Thus, the start point is specified with the key 5 for range specification and then the thumb ball 2 is operated to move the cursor to a target position. When the cursor is positioned at a target end point, the key 5 for range specification is pressed again to specify the end point. At this time, the lock mechanism of the key 5 for range specification is released and the series operation for specifying the range from the start point to the end point is ended.</p> |
