PURPOSE:To obtain a material having excellent transparency as well as good oxygen permeability and excellent heat resistance, UV absorptivity and formability by incorporating a condensate polymer comprising a condensate polymer component containing each specified aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and diamino compd. CONSTITUTION:This lens material for eyes contains such a condensate polymer containing an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride expressed by formula I and at least one kind of diamino compd. selected from silicon-contg. diamine expressed by formula II, diamino-substd. benzene expressed by formula III, and diamino-substd. diphenyl expressed by formula IV. In formula I, R<1> is a group expressed by -O-, -CO-, -SO2-, or the like. In formula II, R<3> is a group expressed by formula V. In formula III, R<4>-R<7> are hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups of 1-5 carbon number. In formula IV, R<8> is a group expressed by -C(CH3)2-, -C(CF3)2-, or the like. In formula V, 1 is an integer 1-3, m is an integer 1-15, n is an integer 1-3. |
