METHOD FOR DRIVING PHOTORECEPTOR AND FLANGED PHOTORECEPTOR

PURPOSE:To provide a method for driving a photoreceptor which has excellent dimensional accuracy, is ameliorated of full run-out and does not generate vibration sounds in a contact electrostatic charge system or at the time of using a cleaning blade. CONSTITUTION:The outer peripheral parts at both ends of the cylindrical photoreceptor constituted by forming a photosensitive layer 5 on a base body 5 are supported and the photoreceptor is driven. The flanged photoreceptor constituted by fitting the inner peripheral parts of the flanges to the outer peripheral parts at the ends of the base body is used in the case of using of the flanged photoreceptor mounted with the flanges 2 at the base body ends of the photoreceptor constituted by forming the photosensitive layer 5 on the base body 1 as the photoreceptor. the base body 1 may be formed by drawing its ends. The base body 1 may be formed by rounding a metallic bar or metallic sheet and subjecting the joint part thereof to TIG welding to a cylindrical shape.
