PURPOSE:To provide a reinforcing and fixing method which is simple in working stages and necessitates fewer man-hours without requiring a specific reinforcing part and the device to be exclusively used. CONSTITUTION:The respective ends of the fusion spliced part 4 of optical fibers, a pair of the optical fibers 3 existing at both ends thereof and coated optical fibers 1 connected to the respective optical fibers are extended onto an optical fiber mounting surface 8 and the respective extended ends are enclosed with an adhesive 9 and are adhered on this mounting surface 8. The respective parts extended onto the mounting surface 8 are preferably disposed on the same straight line along this line. The outside diameter after solidification of the adhesive 9 is preferably set slightly larger than the outside diameter of the coated optical fibers 1. |
