PURPOSE:To prevent a sudden change in the train speed by adding a compensation current corresponding to running resistance determined in response to the variations in railway conditions to a current command calculated according to a speed output from a speed commanding means through detection of the position and speed of the train. CONSTITUTION:A speed commanding device 1 outputs a speed command Vc to a train 5. An arithmetic device 8 inputs the Vc and an actual speed V detected by a position speed detector 6, and calculates a difference Vd between the two. A speed controller 2 calculates an input current command ImFB to an electric motor 4 in such a way that the Vd will become zero. The motor 4 runs the train 5 with a thrush of FX. The actual total thrust, however, is FX-Fd (where, Fd: running resistance due to the air-resistance difference between inside and outside a tunnel, and a railway grade). A compensating arithmetic device 7 retrieves a running resistance Fd, stored in advance, by the actual speed V and position X. The device 7 then calculates a current ImFF to compensate for the Fd, adds it to ImBF 9 in order to obtain a compensation current command Im, and feeds it to the motor 4 through a current feeding device 3, preventing sudden speed variations and making the train more comfortable to ride in. |
