发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING CRYSTALLINITY AND SELVEDGE RATE OF ROLLED MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the crystallinity of a rolled material quickly and objectively by determining the difference of propagation time between multiplex reflection waves having a specific refraction angle and propagating while repeating reflection on the surface and rear of the rolled material. CONSTITUTION:When ultrasonic waves are radiated from different directions, larger in number than the main orientations of the aggregate structure of a hot rolled plate (rolled material) 2, while inclining by a predetermined angle with respect to the plate surface using beam convergence ultrasonic probes 1a-1c, the ultrasonic waves propagate while repeating reflection on the surface and rear of the hot rolled plate 2. Multiplex reflection waves having specific refractions angles and contained in the propagating ultrasonic wave are then received by beam convergence ultrasonic probes 3a-3c and converted into electric signals. The electric signals are then digitized through a digital oscilloscope 6 and stored in a memory 7 from which a data is delivered to a computor 8 where the difference of propagation time is determined between multiplex reflection waves and the crystallinity of the hot rolled plate 2 is measured based on the difference. Acoustic anisotropy is determined for the number of main orientations or more of the aggregate structure thus measuring the crystallinity of hot rolled material 2 highly accurately.
