The ring has recesses on its outside periphery to receive tangs of drive links of a saw chain, and cylindrical surfaces to support the chain radially. On the inside periphery of the ring there are radial protrusions and cylindrical surfaces. The sprocket has recesses to receive the protrusions, and cylindrical surfaces in contact with the cylindrical surfaces formed on the inside periphery of the ring. Alternatively, the recesses in the ring could constitute through-holes, and the tangs of the drive links could extend through the through-holes to constitute the protrusions received in the sprocket recesses. |
