N-Fumaramic acid derivatives of the formula in which A is O-R<3> or NR<4>R<5>, where R<3>, R<4> and R<5> are hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or aralkyl, and the aryl radical is optionally substituted, R<1> and R<2> are hydrogen or alkyl, or R<1> and R<2> together are a methylene chain, Ar is an aryl radical which is optionally substituted, n represents 0-3, and fungicides containing these compounds.
