The parent patent claims an arrangement for positioning hard material particles in castings, in which the mould is divided by a perforated partition wall into regions, the region used to provide higher wear resistance being enriched with hard material particles. In this patent of addn., the partition wall is shaped into a perforated casing-like core support (2) contg. hard material particles (4) and at least one core support (2) is located on a level mould face (5) or in a recess (3) in the mould (1).
