Light-weight, low-cost, compact binoculars utilize high reflectance mirrors (115) instead of traditional prisms to fold light and lengthen distance between the objective lens (125) and the field lens (121) to correct the orientation of an image. The binoculars are made with mirrors and light-weight, injection molded acrylic plastic lenses. They are pocket sized and compact, yet adjustable for individual interocular distance. The field of view is rectangular in format and the interpupillary adjustment is by way of sliding action between nested housings (5, 7). |
