<p>PURPOSE:To prevent exhaust gas from cooling a filter in the case where particulate trapped in a particulate filter is burned through electric heat. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical bypass pipe 11, a main double laminated filter 12 and an exhaust pipe 13 are provided in a filter case 10. The main laminated filter 12 is composed of a porous metal plate, a ceramics fiber compound material functioning as a filter and the laminated body of a heater. The downstream of the bypass pipe 11 is composed as a secondary filter 11a. A bypass valve 15 is provided in the bypass pipe 11. Signals sent from an exhaust pressure sensor 20, a seat-belt sensor 21 and an idling detecting sensor 22 are inputted into a controller 19. When the controller 19 carrys out the cleaning of the filter, the heater of a main filter is turned on for opening the bypass valve 15 through an actuator 18.</p> |
