PURPOSE: To prevent a brush part's axial motion against a handle part to detach a connection between the brush part and the handle part making the brush part and the handle part rotate to fix with each other. CONSTITUTION: This toothbrush comprises a brush part 32 and a hollow handle part 34. The handle part 34 comprises an axial slide bearing 40, a connecting rod 36 which is protruded into the handle part 34, movable axially in the inside of the handle part, and connected with the brush part 32, a return spring 86 connected with a connecting rod 36 in previously expanded state, latch mechanisms 46, 48 preventing the connected end between the brush part 32 and the handle part 34 from being distorted. A fixing mechanism 88 prevents a connecting rod 36 from moving axially and unexpectedly, and the first part (a rock block 82) and the second part (a rock lever 90) are applied to the connecting rod 36 and the handle part 34, respectively. An actuator mechanism mounted on the wall of the hollow handle part 34 works so as to actuate the second part of the fixing mechanism 88. |
