PURPOSE:To obtain a developer preventing the blocking of a toner in the case of using an electric charge type magnetic toner and capable of ensuring satisfactory developing performance and transferability. CONSTITUTION:A semiconducting ferrite carrier having >=10mum average particle diameter and 20-90emu/g saturation magnetization is made of a sintered compact consisting of trivalent iron oxide and other metal oxide and 5-60 pts.wt. of this carrier is mixed with 40-95 pts.wt. triboelectric charge type insulating magnetic toner contg. a resin and magnetic powder to obtain the objective developer. Since the flowability of the magnetic toner is considerably improved as compared with the conventional unsatisfactory flowability and the blocking of the toner can be prevented, it can be expected that the quality of an image formed by a normal or reversal developing system using various photoreceptors is considerably improved.
