The two component parts after being connected together are painted. Between them (1,3) is a sealing intermediate layer (5) connected to one of them (1). The sealing intermediate layer (5) is fixed by a heat-activated adhesive (9). After painting, the painted component parts (1,3) are submitted to a drying process with a heat input. The sealing intermediate layer on its non-adhered locating surface is provided with a fixation medium for provisional attachment of it (5) to the corresp. component part (5). This fixation medium is a double-sided adhesive strip (7). USE/ADVANTAGE - A releaseable union between two component parts of a vehicle bodywork in which a corrosion protection is available in the area of the locating surfaces even when they are sepd.
