A laparoscopic instrument assembly comprises a rigid sleeve (12) and a plurality of laparoscopic instrument shafts (14b, 16b) inserted inside the sleeve. The sleeve has an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of a laparoscopic cannula, whereby a distal end portion of the instrument assembly may be inserted into a patient's abdomen through the laparoscopic cannula during a laparoscopic procedure. A plurality of surgical tips (14a, 16a) are operatively connected to respective ones of the shafts at distal ends thereof, while an actuator component (14c, 16c) is connected to the shafts at a proximal end of the sleeve for independently actuating the operative tips. A locking device (18, 20) slidably locks the shafts to the sleeve. Bend control knobs (14d, 16d) on each actuator can bend the distal end of the instrument shafts.
