A gate line transmits gate signals; a first data line transmits data voltages; a first voltage line alternately transmits a first voltage and a second voltage that is than greater than the first voltage; a first switching element is connected to the gate line and the first data line; a second switching element is connected to the gate line and the first voltage line; a first pixel electrode is connected to the first switching element; and a second pixel electrode is connected to the second switching element. The first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode form a liquid crystal capacitor along with the liquid crystal layer, and at least one of the first voltage and the second voltage is variable.</p>
