PURPOSE:To provide a molding for an automobile having a protector capable of properly exterting its function and improving the assembling property. CONSTITUTION:A protector 11 is provided at the end section of a molding 10 installed along a window frame, and the tip lip 11a of the protector 11 is brought into elastic contact with a body 4 side forming the window frame. The protector 11 is formed into a hollow structure having a loop-like cross section, it has constant and proper rigidity, and the self-retaining property of the basic shape can be secured. It is not deformed inadvertently, and it has proper elasticity as the protector 11. The assembling property of the molding 10 to the body 4 side is improved, and a proper assembly accuracy can be maintained after assembling. |
