ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain an antimicrobial agent composition hardly causing discoloration and deterioration of a resin when processed, stored and used and capable of retaining antimicrobial effect for a long time in an antimicrobial resin composition obtained by mixing a component providing antimicrobial property with the resin. CONSTITUTION:This antimicrobial agent composition contains at least one metal oxide selected from zinc oxide and titanium dioxide and a phosphoric acid quadrivalent metal salt-based antimicrobial agent expressed by the following formula. AgaAbM2(PO4)3.nH2O [A: an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium or hydrogen; M: a quadrivalent metal; 0<=n>=6, with the proviso that (a)+(mb)=1; (m) is valence of Al.
