<p>PURPOSE:To provide a solenoid valve so as to smooth startup of a brake engagement pressure and to provide the solenoid valve which is improved in terms of a mounting space, weight, and a cost, in an actuator for a hand brake used in the hydraulic control system of an automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:The opening of a bore.2 in a housing 3 is closed with a plug 5 and the interior of the bore 2 is partitioned into compartments 8, 10, and 11 by a piston 6. A groove 19 is formed in a working rod 14 is slidable over the piston 6. The compartments 10 and 11 positioned facing the groove 19 with the piston 6 therebetween are intercommunicated during a part of the stroke of the piston 6 and startup of a brake engagement pressure is smoothed.</p> |
