PURPOSE:To obtain a trayless double-sided printing device which is small in size and light in weight and provided with a mechanism for supplying and carrying paper so as not to collide with following paper by providing a calculation means obtaining a paper supply interval in a double-sided printing mode. CONSTITUTION:This printing device 1 is constituted of an image forming part 6 consisting of a photoreceptor drum 5, the calculation means, and a paper feeding means for feeding paper from a paper supply tray 2 based on a timing signal outputted from the calculation means. The calculation means calculates the paper supply interval Tdf based on paper carrying loop time Tl, paper passing time Tt and the shortest time of gap between papers Tgmin obtained from a control means controlling the entire device. Tdf=(T1/N)X2. N is the division number of the paper carrying loop time, and a maximum odd number which is equal to or under the quotient of N=[Tl/(Tt+Tgmin)]. The calculation means outputs the timing signal at the interval Tdf to the image forming means 6, the paper feeding means and a paper feeding means driving device. |
