The mechanism comprises a locking pin which fixes the door to the external wall and has a positioning mechanism. The latter incorporates a control unit (1) comprising one or more diaphragms (7) to which a control rod (4) is coupled. A chamber (6) in the diaphragm housing has unions (12,11) supplying the pressures inside and outside the cabin to opposite sides of the diaphragm. There can be two or more of the latter one behind the other in the lengthwise direction of the rod, which can be coupled to a door locking linkage.
