The throttle valve (4) has a conical sealing surface (6) matching the counter sealing surface (8) of the throttle valve seat (7). The counter sealing surface is in the form of a sprung hollow tapered ring (9) the largest diameter part of which is directly or indirectly attached to the housing (3). The hollow tapered ring, with a wall thickness of a few millimetres, is attached to a holder ring (10) fitting into a container groove (11) in the housing.
