Apparatus for monitoring bacteriological quality of water.

Appts. for determn. of the bacteriological quality of water samples by fluorescence and colorimetry is claimed. Samples are placed in cuvettes (2) positioned in openings (12) around a horizontal circular ring (11), turning about its central axis. A chamber (9) inside the ring contains a light source (7) and has an opening (10) allowing rays of light (8) to pass through a sample cuvette. The colorimetric absorption and fluorescence of the sample are measured (3 and 4) and compared against pre set limits (24) and the results recorded (6). The fluorescence detector (4) is positioned perpendicular to the light beam (8).
