<p>The mechanism comprises a calliper (4) made from elastic wire in the shape of a U, having turned-over ends (43) engaging with holes (200,31) in both the sliding components and the bars. The two sides of the calliper pass through angled slots (50) in lugs (5) on the sides of the sliding components, positioned so that the movement of the calliper side in the slots in one direction causes them to disengage from the holes and allow the sliding components to be adjusted relative to the bars.
