PURPOSE:To provide an electric cord winding device which can surely wind an electric cord in order around a reel drum, does not fall down at the time of drawing out the electric cord from the reel drum, and does not become a hindrance to work or walking of workers, because the device does not catch the feet of workers. CONSTITUTION:The pivot 8 of a reel drum 12 is horizontally fitted to the back plate section of a housing box having a cord passing port 4 formed through its side plate section 3 in the forward-backward direction in a cantilever-like state and a reel drum 12 is pivoted by the pivot that the drum 12 can be loosely rotated and an electric cord wound around the drum 12 can be drawn out through the port 4.
