<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method and circuit for processing picture data with variable power in which the change of a variable power ratio in a digital picture processor can be easily attained. CONSTITUTION: The calculation of data for a variable power processing corresponding to the reduction and enlargement of picture data is operated by using lookup table data in this picture data variable power processing method. Also, this picture data variable power processing circuit is provided with a ROM 102 for storing a lookup table, RAM 103 for operating reduction and enlargement processings, microprocessor 101 for controlling the reduction and enlargement processings or the like, and line memories 601-602 or the like. Thus, it is possible to facilitate a counter measure to a variable power ratio in a wide range desired by a user, to simplify the constitution of the circuit, and to easily extend the variable power ratio by the change of a program.</p> |
