PURPOSE:To obtain a developer carrier having high durability that does not cause peeling, scratches or deterioration of a coating film on the surface of the carrier against repeated copying and use so that stable picture quality can be obtd. for a long time under various environmental conditions, and to provide a developing device using that. CONSTITUTION:This developer carrier body is produced by forming a resin coating layer on a metal cylinder. The resin coating layer contains a dispersion of a pigment treated with the reaction product of a silane coupling agent (A) having any of amino group, epoxy group, and vinyl group as a functional group and the compd. (B) described below. The compd. (B) has a group selected from among hydroxyl groups, carboxyl groups, acid anhydride groups, isocyanate groups, amino groups and vinyl groups which can react with at least one of the functional groups in the silane coupling agent (A). This developer carrier is used for the developing device. |
