PURPOSE: To provide a video data decoding device for reducing a blocking phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: An error compensator 30 includes a presuming unit 40 which compensates a DC conversion coefficient accompanied with a quantization error and generates an estimate for the DC conversion coefficient and a comparator 42. The comparator 42 compares a first compensated value indicating the value of a difference obtained by subtracting a threshold value from the value of the DC coefficient with a second compensated value indicating the value of a sum obtained by adding the value of the DC coefficient to the threshold value, judges whether or not a first condition indicating that the estimate is more than the first compensated value and less than the second compensated value is fulfilled, generates a signal for the selection of the estimate when the first condition is fulfilled, judges whether or not a second condition indicating that the estimate is smaller than the first compensated value is fulfilled when the first condition is not fulfilled, generates a signal for the selection of the first compensated value when the second condition is fulfilled, and generates a signal for the selection of the second compensated value when the second condition is not fulfilled. |
