PURPOSE:To make improvements in cord strength as a belt tensioner without lowering the extent of flexural fatigue resistance so much. CONSTITUTION:A strand 2 consisting of a metallic microcrystal fiber of C: 0.05 to 0. 2%, Si: 0.1 to 1.0%, Mn: 0.7 to 2.0% in composition, and Fe in the rest, and 36mum to 100mum in strand diameter is selected according to a belt properly using a lot of strands, doubling and paralleling then and adding a first twist, and thus primary twisted thread 3 is made up. Three pieces of this primary twisted thread 3 are further twisted on each, thereby constituting a cord 1 or a tensioner of the toothed belt. A diameter of this cord 1 is 0.5mm to 0.9mm. |
