IMAGE FORMING PAPER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain color images having high saturation of colors which are small in the difference of the spectral reflectivity of the light diffused and reflected from paper in a specific wavelength region and have wavelength components of red from blue and green by using the image forming paper having the spectral reflectivity and spectral reflectivity distribution which are respectively specific. CONSTITUTION:This image forming paper has at least >=85% of the spectral reflectivity of the light reflected from the paper in the region of the wavelength 440 to 640nm and has the spectral reflectivity distribution in which the difference between the max. value and min. value of the spectral reflectivity in the wavelength region is within 5%. The reflected light quantity as the paper is absolutely insufficient and the color of the base is gray if the spectral reflectivity in this wavelength region is below 85%. The saturation of the color of the toners on such paper is liable to degrade drastically. The reflected light of the paper shifts from white and the colors of the color toners on the paper change as the paper reflects the light colored according to the difference in the reflectivity if the difference between the max. value and min. value of the spectral reflectivity in this wavelength region exceeds 5%.
