This is a new polyester film which has enhanced heat resistance, electric insulation, and surface properties. This one-axis oriented film is composed of polyethylene terephthalate above 70wt.%, antioxidant 0.01-3.0wt.%, inert particle 0.01-5.0wt.%, and ethyleneterephthalate cyclic trimer below 0.7wt.%. The av. diameter of the above inert particle is 0.01-5.0um. This film satisfies the following condition. [COOH <=-2.5[IV +31.25 and [IV <=-0.5[C3 +1.0. In the formula [COOH is end carboxyl gp. content of polyester, [IV is limited viscosity and [C3 is cyclic trimer content of ethyleneterephthalate.
