PURPOSE:To supply the necessary least power to an information processing apparatus and also reduce power consumption at standby by controlling open and close conditions of a switch depending on the application condition of the information processing apparatus obtained by a condition monitor means. CONSTITUTION:A condition monitor means 122 monitors an application condition of an information processing apparatus 101 to output application condition information indicating the application condition. A supply control means 124 generates a supply control signal which indicates stop and restart of voltage supply to a drive signal generating means 112, depending on contents of the application condition information indicating the monitoring result by the condition monitoring means 122. A switch 125 turns off, with the supply control signal from the supply control means 124, a power supply path via a starting means 111 depending on detection of standby of the information processing apparatus 101 and sets up again the connection when the standby is cancelled. Thereby, the necessary minimum power can be supplied to the information processing apparatus 101 from the main power supply means 110 and the power consumption at standby of the information processing apparatus 101 can be reduced. |
