PURPOSE:To reduce the labor and cost required for assembling a power generator and to enable the generator to efficiently generate electric power in the outer space. CONSTITUTION:A hollow member 1 has a light transmitting property and a convex lens-like shape and the inside of the member 1 is filled with a gas 2 having a dielectric constant which is different from that of a vacuum. The member 1 is connected to and supported by a solar battery cell through struts 3a and 3b and condenses the rays of the sun to the cell 4. An attitude controller 5 monitors the electric power generated in the cell 4 and controls the attitude of the member 1 on the basis of the monitored results so that the member 1 can always stay between the sun and cell 4. A microwave transmitting antenna 6 transmits the electric power generated from the cell 4 and converted into microwaves to a ground station. |
