PURPOSE:To reduce the in-use storage capacity of a buffer memory which is required when compressed and encoded data are decoded. CONSTITUTION:Compressing and encoding means 12R and 12L compress and encode respective image data by photography positions obtained by image data input means 11R and 11L inputting image data obtained by multidirectional photography, and a time information storage means 15 stores the time when the data are compressed and encoded by the compressing and encoding means 12R and 12L; and image intra-unit compression and encoding or image inter-unit compression and encoding are decided by the compressing and encoding means 12R and 12L. Then image compressing method control means 13R and 13L indicate compressing methods according to compression forms, and a multiplexing means 16 multiplexes compressed and encoded data by the photography positions obtained by the compressing and encoding means 12R and 12L; and a recording means 17 records the compressed and encoded data obtained by the multiplexing means on a recording medium. |
