Method for collection and recycling of e.g. kitchen waste

The waste is collected in containers made of biodegradable cardboard. The containers are transported to a central collection point, or stacked in a collection container. The containers are then moved to a biodegradable waste dump, where waste and containers decay together. The containers consist of a one-piece folded cardboard blank. This has a rectangular or square base, two long and two end side walls, and approx. square side strengthening surfaces. It also has two lid sections (12,13), connected to the end walls (5). The top edges of the lid sections have fold-down carriers (17,18).
