PURPOSE:To save the power consumption of a heater by judging operation made by the user. CONSTITUTION:The arrangement comprises a fluorescent lamp 1 to illuminate an image reading document, a lighting circuit 2 to produce an electric power for lighting the lamp 1, a heater 3 of self-temp. adjusting type located in the neighborhood of the lamp 1 and raising its temp., a switch 4 for heater to select current feed or non-feed to the heater 3, and a main switch 5 which turns on and off the current feed from AC mains 6 to the lighting circuit 2. The current feed to the heater 3 is turned on and off by the switch 4 regardless of the current feed on/off condition to the lamp 1. |
