Method for identifying or determining proteins, in which antibodies are prepared with the aid of peptides which are made immunogenic if necessary and the antibodies thus obtained are then employed for determining the desired proteins from a sample containing them and treated so as to release the said peptides, in which the said peptide is selected from a known sequence of the said protein as a protein fragment which can be released by enzyme treatment and is then prepared by synthesis, and application to the identification or determination of proteins.
