PURPOSE:To provide the tilting pad type bearing which can keep stable and high characteristics by preventing tilting pads from being increased in temperature and seizing following the aforesaid temperature increased, and effectively making use of fed lubricant. CONSTITUTION:This invention is concerned with the tilting pad type bearing device which is supported by pins 3a through 3e fixed in the inner circumference of a housing 6 in such a way as to be freely rocked, and supports a shaft 1 via a plurality of pads 2a through 2e divided in the circumferential direction. A plurality of grooves in the circumferential direction are provided for the outer circumferential surface of the respective tilting pads or the inner circumferential surface of a housing faced to the aforesaid outer circumferential surface, and a plurality of small diameter orifices 11a and 11b which directly inject lubricant to the aforesaid grooves or the outer circumferential surface, are disposed to the aforesaid housing 6 or interposed between the respective tilting pad adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction. |
