<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive coal ash caked compact using coal ash as principal starting material and having high strength and high water resistance. CONSTITUTION:Coal ash-based starting material made of a mixture of coal ash with a smaller amt. (wt.) of calcium carbonate than the amt. of the coal ash is compacted into a specific shape, alkali is incorporated into the resultant compact and this compact is hydrothermally treated at a high temp. and pressure to produce the objective coal ash caked compact.</p> |
